Why Use Sarbu Jaggery Powder?
Sarbu Jaggery Powder gives this traditional Til Gud Chikki a rich, caramel-like sweetness that pairs beautifully with the nutty flavor of roasted sesame seeds. Its fine texture melts easily, helping create an evenly coated and deliciously crisp chikki.
Chef’s Tips
- Roast sesame seeds lightly; over-roasting can make them bitter.
- Cook the jaggery syrup to the correct stage for a crisp chikki.
- The syrup should harden and snap when tested in cold water.
- Work quickly once the sesame seeds are added, as the mixture sets fast.
- Roll the chikki while it is hot for a thin and even texture.
- Store completely cooled chikki in an airtight container to maintain its crispness.
